Our Story

We started our careers in digital marketing and PR agencies, which is how we met in 2017 when we both joined the same firm. We bonded over our shared love of storytelling, passion for using data to inform campaigns, and overall commitment to achieving nothing less than excellent results for our clients. We were data nerds hungry for growth in our careers. So, we started “night school” where we would meet after work each week to learn from each other and discuss takeaways from our various clients - sharing tips and tricks about how we decreased the CPC on an SEM campaign, or landed an NPR segment, or secured thousands of sign-ups for a webinar. We’d work long days, then learn from each other at night. While we were at it, we shared a love for dogs, hiking and nature, the Boston area, and drinking margaritas after a rough day. 

Digital marketing is always changing and evolving, and that’s what we love about it. There’s always a new puzzle to solve or a new platform to test. Social media algorithms change every day while Google forces analytics migrations and changes its ads interface - and it’s our job to roll with it and remain unshakable. Our hunger drives us to stay current with all these changes and our clients benefit from consistently up-to-date counsel – which is harder and harder to come by in this complicated, ever-changing digital landscape. 

Unshakable Marketing was inspired by “night school” – because good marketers never stop learning, but great marketers spread the knowledge.

We grew in our careers, and in our personal lives. Sam moved to Seattle, we both got married, we adopted several dogs. We stayed in touch, continued to learn from each other, and then the right conversation at the right time made us realize our next step was obvious. We couldn’t ignore how well our skill sets complemented each other and we were both very passionate about becoming entrepreneurs. So we took the leap and founded Unshakable Marketing in 2023. 

Dana Trismen, Co-Founder, PR & Social Media Lead

Dana Trismen is a dynamic and driven marketer with a proven track record of success leading and managing multi-channel PR and integrated marketing programs that drive revenue growth and enhance brand reputation. She has extensive experience working with B2B companies of all sizes – from the Fortune 500 to multi-million dollar private corporations to series B startups. She knows how to build robust programs that incorporate every aspect of marketing, just as well as she knows how to make a small budget go far. Dana’s versatility and adaptability allow her to creatively problem solve for clients to help them achieve their goals – whether that’s brand visibility or a lagging sales pipeline.

Prior to founding Unshakable Marketing, Dana worked as a Vice President at an award-winning integrated marketing agency where she managed programs spanning PR, social media, content marketing, lead generation, and more. On the PR side, Dana is well known for her storytelling chops and ability to secure tier-one coverage in outlets like CNBC, Forbes, TIME, WSJ, and Reuters. Dana’s PR campaigns have earned multiple awards from the likes of the Bulldog PR Awards and The PR Club of New England. Never one to be stuck in a box, Dana pushes her clients to extend the impact of PR across other channels as well, using her digital marketing skills. In a single quarter, she led her team to increase MQLs by 200% and SQLs by 106% for a large B2B tech client. She has helped clients increase their email CTRs by 136% in a single quarter, and has deep experience with Account Based Marketing (ABM) and micro-targeted approaches. As the Social Media Marketing Functional Lead for her prior agency, she developed and implemented organic and paid social media strategies that drove meaningful impact across the entire agency portfolio. Prior to her VP role, Dana also worked in-house at a large edtech company overseeing digital marketing and social media as the company went through an extensive rebrand and website redesign. Samantha Rushovich, Co-Founder, Digital Marketing Lead

Sitting at the intersection of data and creativity, Sam is an unstoppable digital marketer, relentless in her pursuit of driving bottom-line results. With 10 years of experience spanning industries from B2B tech, eCommerce, healthcare, and hospitality, she’s yet to meet an underperforming campaign she couldn’t fix. Sam offers exceptional knowledge of how to build a strong lead generation engine, leveraging many of the tools in her toolkit from paid media to SEO to web strategy to email marketing. Her secret sauce is creating digital strategies that are built to adapt and withstand an ever-changing digital ecosystem. Known for being direct and data-driven, her digital media and web strategy approaches have been instrumental in helping countless companies increase leads – from MQLs to SQLs – and drive more direct revenue from marketing.

Before founding Unshakable Marketing, Sam worked within the agency world in both PR and digital marketing. Then she followed her passion to work for multiple eCommerce companies, optimizing their conversion rates and increasing sales. While driving online advertising at an eCommerce company, her tireless efforts drove 200% YoY growth in site sales during the holiday shopping season. She also worked for a healthcare company where she built out industry-leading digital marketing programs, successfully increasing web leads by 37% and web-attributed customers by 16% in her first year.
